They had nothing to say each other...

They had been together going on five years, but a single mistake of him destroyed that relation which had been balanced till now.

Avantika was American, but born in India. She was the icon of beauty, blue eyes, long black hair, tall and had a great figure, every woman dreamt being like her. She worked as a teacher in the University near her house, in Delhi. She came back to India due to her fathers' illness.

Ehsaan was from Pakistan. He was a normal man, in fact I would say he was really ugly and there was nothing in him which would make him different from other man, apart from being a Muslim in India, Delhi and going to teach something related to his religion in an Indian University.

When Ehsaan saw Avantika for the first he immediately fell in love with her, it was love at first sight! However, for her it was something impossible, as she was only in her twenties, she wanted to enjoy her life as much as she could. His insistence, made her fall in love with him and marrying him against her fathers' approval.

Some days after theur marriage Avantika received a letter from the American University, saying that they wanted her back, she was a bit worried, as things were different now, she was married and they had their life settled in Delhi. That's when Ehsaan says "It's not necessary for the woman to sacrifice all the time" and they departed to New York.

In the USA, they bought a house in an Indian neighbourhood and Ehsaan also got a job in the same University as her, lecturing the same subject as he was lecturing in India. As they were new, a (Indian for her and Muslim for him) family went to their house to be friends with them; it was Muslim for him, because it actually was his own family. As she got to know them a bit better, she found out that there was a girl who was being ill-treated by her husband in that house, and she tried to help her, but she didn't know that what she was doing would almost cost her, her life. This family was all composed by terrorist, including Ehsaan. When she got to know this, it was too late, not only she was pregnant with Ehsaan's child, but also her father-in-law knew she was aware of their reality, so they made Avantika, as well as her father in India, prisoners in their own houses and she stopped eating and speaking with her husband.

Ehsaans' family were planning a big attack in every metro stations, in which each and every member would be carrying a bomb, including the women (all of them). But Ehsaan was unaware of that fact and he got to know that Avantika had a bomb he left everything and saved her life and his child. However, while doing that, he had to fight a lot against the police and lost his life. Before his death, Avantika asked Ehsaan his real name, and his answer was: Khalid.

She left him there and came back to India.

Lunch with year 6 class...

In a Summer night Iwas watching TV and wondering "What if I organize a lunch with my sixth grade classmates?" Even knowing that this idea was a bit childish and also impossible, I sent a message to João (a boy who was my colleague only till year 6, unfortunately, but now is in this school) and he agreed with me and helped me in getting in touch with some of our colleagues whose contact we had lost. Luckily, we arranged the phone number or the e-mail address of most of them and talked with them to see if this idea was good and if they would join us. At that time all of them agreed and we (João and I) kept going on, and set the day of our lunch, as it was a holiday (8th December) we thought all of them could (and would) come. So, we sent them SMS's and asked for confirmations, also at that time, everyone said they would come, but when we reached to Colombo only one girl (Sónia) was there. I was really sad when Isaw that almost no one came, but still, we had a great time, after all, we were together again after almost six years.
After the lunch, I went to the cinema with my other friends.

Presenting GW

Today was the Big day, at least for me and Jorge. Today we presented the work we have been doing for one month or more.
Our project was about finding some strategies to better integrate immigrants in the host societies, especially in Portugal, but while doing the research for the presentation we actually found out that our country is the best in the world to receive immigrants providing them the basic needs.
The presentation went very well, I think this time I could speak in such a way that everyone could listen and understand what I was saying, there were no mistakes and the teacher liked it, so what's better than that? Well, there is one more point that I want to make regarding to our presentation, the class was so interested (in such a way we were not excepting at all), that when we finished our presentation, it was raised a debate between the whole class, which would have continued if the class had no finished...

27th of November

I was eagerly waiting for this day, well not really this one, but the 26th of November because it was the day when New Moon would release in Portugal, but as I had tests on that week I could not go to watch it in the cinema on the day of the release, but only on the next.
On Friday (the 27th), I was looking at the watch the whole day and excepting it to mark 18:25, the time of the session I was going to assist. When I got there with my cousin and two friends of mine this session was full, so we had to go to the next session at 19:00. After buying the tickets, we had to spent there almost one hour and a half just window shopping. This time went really fast, we didn't even realize how it passed so quickly.
When we got into the theatre room it was completely full (it was nothing I didn't except). And the movie was just perfect, each and every scene was just as I had imagined and loyal to the book written by Stephanie Meyer (I also should say this one is my favourite from this series)

Interviewing Immigrants in Martim Moniz

On Wednesday (17th November) Jorge and I went to Martim Moniz to interview some immigrants that work there and I know.
When we got there, I tried to take some photos but it was almost impossible, because it's a place where people are very conservative and sometimes if we do things they don't like they begin to shout at us and humiliate too. By that time Jorge started (or tried to start) the interviews, but he was a bit "nervous" because he didn't know the person and didn't know what reaction my friend would have, so he kind of lowered his pace (also because my friend was looking at him suspiciously), in order to wait for me. Once I got there, my friend understood what was going on and started like joking and being friendly to Jorge, and so was Jorge.
Our field work went well, I can say, as we could make the two interviews we wanted and had planned for this day, the only thing we were not able to do was taking the photos, and those we could take were too blurred to show...

It has been years since they left and now they are coming back. I can't believe what my eyes are seeing! Firstly most of the people who went are alive and seem to be healthy. Secondly they have so many new thing, specially animals I have never seen and well, they are so fascinating, I had never dreamt of something like that.
I can see at least four animals that are new to me. I will describe the one that for me is the most beautiful, which is the lion. It's like a very big dog whose hair is brown. It has a very big crown around the face, but only some of them. And finally its teeth are the most frightening I've never seen, probably one bite and the person dies, but still its beauty is incomparable. The other ones are the elephant, hippo and the rhino, all of them very beautiful too.
Apart from the animals I am very happy that most of the men who went are back, because their families were so worried. I can't express how glad I am for seeing my father after a long time.
